Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? Position Details We have an opportunity for a motivated & experienced Technician to join the Compression Systems Engineering team. In this role, you will make an impact by directly supporting the Safety Management System for P&W Mature Commercial Engines (MCE) programs. Your primary responsibilities will include on-going support of the Customer Parts Return (CPR) process. You will work independently and as part of a team supporting a wide variety of tasks across the Compression Systems Module Center. You will support the ordering and delivery of Production & Development hardware. Further, you will also support hardware movement within PW to facilitate investigations, inspections, modification, instrumentation, etc.. What You Will Do Manage, track, & coordinate Customer Part Return process to include CIPT approval, hardware tracking and movement, crib hardware layout review, Internal Engineering Report (IER) completion, and weekly status meetings Create work requests for investigation support within the Applied Mechanic Lab (AML), Failure Analysis, Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE), Advanced Manufacturing Metrology (AMM), and the machine shop Initiate (IER) creation from Material & Process Engineering (MPE) completed parts investigations reports Support all IPTs within the Compression Systems Engineering Mature Commercial Engine CIPT Initiate both internal and external SAP ZPMPMs and Engineering Assists to order development/production hardware for testing, specify inspection requirements, re-allocate hardware, etc. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. Current Valid Driver's License Qualifications We Prefer Experience with SAP and Lotus Notes Works well with team-mates with a positive outlook Preferred knowledge of PW processes & procedures Excellent organizational skills, people skills, and communication skills Highly motivated and self-directed; Should possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with minimal supervision and direction What We Offer Relocation Eligibility Learn More & Apply Now Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products. Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. *Regular travel between Middletown campus and East Hartford campus is required* Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
