Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Location(s): Needs are across the district at all grade levels

Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist (In-Person)

Hours/Shift: 7:30a - 2:30p

Pay: $55 - $60/hr


Job Description/Role Responsibilities:

· These are all 40-hour week positions with time built into the schedule for paperwork--no duty assignments.

· All caseloads are approximately 65 - 70 students

· All schools potentially have a range of general education students needing speech/language therapy as well as 1-2 self-contained special education classes.

· Some elementary schools may also have 1-2 pre-k special education classes.

· Please understand that the exact school placements are not clearly defined yet.

· Those specific determinations will be made mid to late July when the district completes transitioning students to the next grade levels in our system.

· Any potential candidates will need to be flexible in understanding that accepting a position may mean that I am not able to tell them the exact school location at this time.

· 1 Campus location - no travel between schools.


Qualifications:

Must:

-Master’s in Speech Language Pathology

-SLP CCCs (Preferred)

-Florida SLP License/Certification


Plus:

-2+ years of SLP experience within a school setting


Education/Licenses/Certifications:

-Master’s in Speech Language Pathology (Or related degree)

-SLP CCCs (Preferred)

-Florida SLP License/Certification

-Very supportive staff -coordinator is SLP that schedules regular meetings to meet with staff and provide guidance, field questions, and offer overall support

-Leadership is comprised of SLPs. Do have other district support SLPs that help with everyone across the district from the central office – work closely with new staff members – in the schools training them on procedures, paperwork, and SOPs
