Supports the University as a general maintenance/grounds helper. Uses college-provided vehicle and equipment to assist maintenance and grounds personnel as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using power equipment to mow, rake, and trim lawns and shrubs on campus
  • Manual weeding, planting, and maintaining planters and flower beds on campus
  • Other miscellaneous activities in keeping the campus grounds
  • Assist in moving equipment and furniture as assigned.
  • Assists with snow removal (when applicable fall/spring semesters)

Required Skills/Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All job requirements listed indicate the minimum knowledge, skills, and/or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently.   • Ability to courteously use telephone and radio.
  • Must be a regular, full-time day school student, enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
  • Must have a completed FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid Department for the current academic year.
