The Role:


Our site in San Luis Obispo, California is seeking a Control Systems Technician to join our team. The Control Systems Technician must have hands on experience with control panels, wiring, end-devices (valves, sensors). They must also be able to manage program downloads, startups as well as troubleshooting existing systems.


What You’ll Do:


  • Troubleshooting, reporting required changes to existing systems on production floor (hardware & software).
  • Testing built systems.
  • Troubleshooting systems at customer sites.
  • Documentation.
  • Configuring spares to send out to customer sites.
  • Leadership/mentorship of other team members.
  • Attending multi-functional meetings, representing team.
  • Working under pressure of deadlines.
  • Any other duties as assigned.


What We Seek:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical diploma a plus.
  • Certified electrician/electrical technician a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in hands-on electrical and electronic systems troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering design documentation.
  • Experience with control systems documentation.
  • Excellent written & verbal skills.
  • Ability to corelate design specs to control system functionality.
