We seek a knowledgeable and dynamic P&C Industry SME to join our Emerging Technologies Team. This individual will be critical in bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical, impactful applications within the P&C sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of P&C operations, processes, and regulations and enthusiasm for how emerging technologies can solve industry-specific challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the go-to industry expert within the team, providing insights into P&C insurance operations, trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Analysts and Engineers on the team to identify and evaluate emerging technologies with potential applications in the P&C industry.
- Guide the development and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring they meet industry needs and comply with regulatory standards.
- Conduct and direct ongoing research into insurtechs, industry developments, competitor strategies, and technology advancements to inform strategic decisions.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across the team and organization, enhancing the team's understanding of P&C industry intricacies.
- Engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in for emerging technology and insurtech initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of the team's strategic direction by leveraging industry insights and technology trends.
Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of P&C insurance products, services, processes, and regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with technology trends affecting the P&C industry, such as AI, IoT, and their potential impact.
- Ability to analyze and interpret industry data to inform technology strategy and solutions.
- Proficiency in project management and software tools relevant to the industry and role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field with a strong understanding of the P&C insurance industry.
- 8+ years of experience in the P&C industry, with a broad understanding of its operations, challenges, and regulatory landscape.
- Experience with technology implementation projects within the P&C sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in teams focused on innovation and technology.
