Litigation Associate

Position Overview:

Client a prestigious boutique business and business litigation firm located in the heart of Silicon Valley, is seeking a meticulous, responsive, and diligent Litigation Attorney with 5 to 12 years of experience in commercial litigation to join our collaborative Litigation team. This position is based in our Burlingame office and offers the opportunity to engage in complex legal matters within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Litigation: Manage and litigate commercial cases with a focus on strategic decision-making and effective advocacy. Handle cases related to business disputes, contractual issues, and other commercial matters.
• Litigation Management: Oversee all aspects of case preparation, including evidence development, complex case management, and trial preparation.
• Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure thorough and effective advocacy.
• Client Advocacy: Advocate in court and arbitration proceedings with a clear, persuasive communication style, both orally and in writing.
• Discovery & Depositions: Handle electronic discovery, interview witnesses, take and defend depositions, and argue motions.
• Case Building: Develop and build cases for trial, demonstrating attention to detail and strategic thinking from initial case preparation through to resolution.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5 to 12 years of litigation experience, with a significant focus on commercial litigation. Proven track record in managing and resolving complex commercial disputes.
• Skills: Exceptional research and writing skills, strong analytical abilities, and a solid work ethic.
• Judgment: Ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure and manage immediate client needs effectively.
• Advocacy: Demonstrated expertise in oral and written advocacy, with the ability to present arguments clearly and persuasively.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $175,000 to $215,000, based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.
• Additional Benefits: Reasonable billable hours requirement, annual discretionary bonuses, competitive health insurance benefits, 401(k), and profit-sharing plan.
