We are looking for a paralegal to join our legal department to provide a variety of support on both transactional and litigation matters, with a focus on contract management, legal research, and document review. This position will be exposed to different areas of law and will get hands-on experience on a variety of legal issues, both domestic and international.


Job responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, draft, review, and negotiate strategic business agreements including, but not limited to, service contracts, NDAs, contract amendments, and office contracts under guidance of attorneys.
  • Conduct legal research on a variety of areas including, but not limited to, corporations, contract terms, employment law, data privacy, and international business law.
  • Summarize factual and legal issues.
  • Administer and manage contract documentation and work with business departments to improve the contract review process.
  • Coordinate company response and file company/department surveys.
  • Organize, maintain, and assist with modifications to legal templates, union contracts and company policies.
  • Organize and archive documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
  • Track, coordinate, and provide timely updates on department budget, achievement of KPI’s, and legal schedules and department activities.
  • Draft, review, and edit reports, memoranda, and court documents.
  • Contact individuals or groups involved in legal processes to provide information and clarify issues.
  • Support attorneys with general administrative matters.
  • Perform duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a paralegal in an in-house legal department, government, or law firm. Prior experience with general contract administration and drafting, corporate maintenance, and transactions preferred.
  • Ability to independently and thoroughly research, analyze, organize, and summarize issues.
  • Experience with using legal databases, e.g. Westlaw.
  • Project management skills with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills that include MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
