The Financial Analyst may provide backup in the absence of other Finance and Accounting staff. As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible. All Redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance to Redwood company policies. Duties & Responsibilities Assist in preparing financial models for the purchase and development of multifamily housing. Update financial models to stay aligned with construction budgets and changes. Analyze project costs to ensure accuracy and alignment with budgets. Prepare accurate land closing budgets for new acquisitions. Track project performance and confirm we're meeting debt service obligations. Provide appraisers with requested information and support throughout the appraisal process. Monitor and update the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) tracker for active projects. Participate in relevant department meetings. All other related duties, as assigned, including special projects. Required Skills As a Financial Analyst, you will be required to exhibit the following skills: Respectfulness, trustworthiness, empathy and leadership The ability to work under pressure Excellent time management skills Strong communication skills and general business acumen The ability to communicate and interact with employees at all organizational levels Proven ability to plan, organize and implement multiple tasks/projects on a concurrent, real-time basis Ability to recognize errors and creatively solve problems Highly organized and creative, always looking for ways to improve processes High level of integrity, confidence and dependability to become a strong team member Commitment to continuously learn more and grow professionally Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required In lieu of degree, 3 years of related experience required Knowledge of real estate preferred Financial analysis and modeling experience preferred General computer proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements: Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, desk phones, cell phones, photocopiers, etc. Must be able to navigate stairs occasionally, particularly in the event of elevator outages or during emergency situations. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally. Attendance and Scheduling: Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential for success in this role, and employees must adhere to set start times and assigned schedules. Occasional travel may be required for team outings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, estimated at less than 5% annually. Work Environment: Job is performed in a professional office environment. Exposure to varying indoor temperatures depending on location in the building and season. Combination of natural daylight and standard office lighting throughout the workspace. Movement across multiple flooring types, including tile, carpet, and other transitions.
