Youll work closely with the CTO and product team to develop backend services that support live conversational AI, audio streaming, transcription, and response generation.What Youll DoBuild and maintain backend services for real-time audio streaming, transcription, and AI orchestrationDesign scalable, secure backend architecture and APIs (REST / WebSocket)Develop and optimize microservices for low-latency, high-reliability interactionsCollaborate with AI, product, and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiencesImplement monitoring, logging, and observability to ensure system stabilityWrite clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviewsYou HaveStrong backend development experience with Python and modern frameworksExperience building real-time systems using WebSockets or similar streaming technologiesStrong understanding of REST API design, microservices, and distributed architecturesFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and containerized deploymentsKnowledge of data storage patterns, message queues, and event-driven architecturesInterest in AI systems, real-time interaction, or conversational technologiesBonusExperience with audio streaming, speech-to-text systems, or LLM integrationsExperience contributing to systems for consumer-facing apps with high engagementFamiliarity with Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar toolsThe BenefitsAs a Senior Backend Engineer you can expect a base of $140,000 to $180,000 as well as health, dental, vision, 401k and moreKeywordsPython, Backend Engineer, REST API, WebSocket, Microservices, Distributed Architecture, Azure, Real-Time Systems, AI, Docker
