Day-to-day:
An employer in the Houston, TX area is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This person will be responsible for mentoring and overseeing the work of their team. They will act as technical oversight for the electrical engineering group. This person will be hands-on spending their day designing and communicating with clients. They will oversee a team of engineers to help execute project delivery. Projects can range from smaller projects or up to $60 to over $100 million and they can be responsible for up to 20 at any given time. The project focuses include K-12, higher education, healthcare, baking facilities, and industrial work. This person will be responsible for taking projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare design documents appropriate for the project and by company standards.
- Advise and mentor staff to help in their growth
- Monitor project status and development to meet project deadlines
- Coordinate the completion of the documents at the appropriate time to have a QA/QC review completed before the deadline for the project
- Coordinate staffing manpower needs weekly with the Project Manager
- Assist in interviewing and providing feedback on possible future personnel
- Review the electrical budget hours and coordinate any recommended adjustments with the Project Manager
- Work with the Project Manager to manage manpower needs/timing as well as monitor the electrical budget on the project
Benefit Information
PTO Accrual:
- From date of hire to 5th anniversary = 5.00 hrs/pay period (15 days per year)
- Upon 6th anniversary = 5.33 hrs/pay period (16 days per year)
- Upon 7th anniversary = 5.66 hrs/pay period (17 days per year)
- Upon 8th anniversary = 6.00 hrs/pay period (18 days per year)
- Upon 9th anniversary = 6.33 hrs/pay period (19 days per year)
- Upon 10th anniversary = 6.67 hrs/pay period (20 days per year)
