Job Title: Chief of GastroenterologyLocation: Atlantic City, NJType: Full-Time, Leadership Role (Physicians only)Position Overview: Southeastern New Jerseys largest health system and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient is seeking an experienced, visionary Chief of Gastroenterology. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building and leading an academic GI division that integrates clinical excellence, education, and research in alignment with Vision 2030.Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and growth of a cutting-edge GI programEstablish an academic GI division with advanced clinical care, research, and educationExpand advanced GI services (complex endoscopy, inpatient, outpatient)Recruit, train, and mentor GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staffProvide expert clinical consultation and management of complex GI casesCollaborate across specialties (including cancer care) and partner with Drexel University and The Cleveland ClinicDrive workforce development and engagement with underserved communitiesManage referral volumes and endoscopic block timeRequirements:Board Certification in Gastroenterology RequiredActive NJ medical license (or ability to obtain before start)Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, CSR/CDS (or ability to obtain before start)Minimum: Experienced gastroenterologist (new grads not eligible)Leadership/program development experience PreferredMalpractice history disclosure required (history with limitations may be considered)COVID and Flu vaccination compliance requiredCompensation & Benefits: $100,000 Sign-On BonusCompetitive salary + RVU incentives (guaranteed during growth phase)Full relocation reimbursement403(b) & 457(b) retirement plans with employer contributionsFull malpractice insurance with tail coverageMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Pet InsuranceCME allowance, tuition reimbursement, generous PTO, NJ sick leaveShort-term and long-term disability coverageWellness programs and FSAs for healthcare/dependent care1:4 manageable call schedule with APP team support
