Career Transitions is supporting an Indianapolis, IN client seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of advanced RF systems and components.

*** Role allows for telecommuting 2-3 days a week.


What you are doing as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of RF systems and components, including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics and layout designs for RF circuits and systems.
  • Utilize advanced simulation tools (such as HFSS, ADS, or CST) to model and predict the performance of RF components and systems.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of RF designs to ensure they meet performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the prototyping of RF systems, working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure successful transition from design to production.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, simulations, test results, and other relevant technical data.


What you need as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record in the design and development of RF systems and components.
  • Familiar with RF circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST).
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and RF propagation.
  • Experience with PCB layout tools and design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for RF systems.Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
