Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:

The Network Engineer is a multifaceted role within ServiceByte, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure solutions for clients. This role provides comprehensive expertise in network, systems, and architecture design, deployment, and optimization. The Network Engineer collaborates with clients, project teams, and internal departments to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions that meet client requirements and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design and Architecture:

• Design, architect, and implement IT infrastructure solutions, including network, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms, to meet client requirements, scalability, and performance goals.
• Develop infrastructure architectures, diagrams, and documentation, specifying hardware, software, configurations, and integration points to ensure alignment with industry best practices and client needs.

Network Engineering and Administration:

• Design, configure, and optimize network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks, to provide reliable, secure, and high-speed connectivity for clients.
• Perform network administration tasks, such as monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of client networks.

System Engineering and Administration:

• Design, deploy, and manage server infrastructure, operating systems, and virtualization platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance for client applications and workloads.
• Perform system administration tasks, such as provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery, to maintain system integrity, security, and availability for clients.

Solutions Engineering and Integration:

• Develop comprehensive IT solutions and integration strategies that align with client business requirements, technology standards, and industry best practices, leveraging a mix of on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams, and vendors to implement integrated solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability, data exchange, and functionality across diverse systems and platforms.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security controls, policies, and procedures to protect client infrastructure, data, and applications from security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
• Perform security assessments, audits, and remediation activities to ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and client security requirements.

Performance Optimization and Monitoring:

• Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance metrics, including network traffic, system utilization, and application performance, to identify bottlenecks, optimize resources, and improve overall system performance.
• Implement performance tuning strategies, capacity planning, and scalability enhancements to ensure infrastructure meets current and future client needs.

Client Consultation and Support:

• Serve as a technical advisor and consultant to clients, providing expertise, recommendations, and solutions for infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization projects.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, project managers, and support teams to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; Master's degree or certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and management roles, with expertise in network engineering, system administration, and solutions architecture.
• Strong technical skills in networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.), server platforms (Windows, Linux, VMware, etc.), cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
• Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance IT infrastructure solutions for clients across diverse industries.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative, value-driven solutions to address client needs and challenges.
