Electrical Design Engineer

POSITION: Solidworks Electrical

LOCATION: Woburn, MA

DURATION/SCHEDULE: 6+ Months


MUST-HAVE: Electrical background (CSWA-Electrical PREFERRED)


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must Have strong knowledge of SOLIDWORKS Electrical program
  • Familiar with interpretations of P&ID’s, electrical schematics, loop drawings and general arrangement drawings
  • Should be assertive, proactive, friendly, helpful and a team player
  • Must have solid written, organization and communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and drafting of general wiring schematics, segment, and loop schematics in SOLIDWORKS Electrical
  • Drafting of network architecture diagrams and detail layouts in SOLIDWORKS Electrical
  • Creating and Managing the CAD library of hardware components and growing the database to include more commonly used hardware
  • Maintaining and managing the electronic CAD filing system on the corporate network for assigned projects
  • Mentor and train existing electrical engineers (4) on SolidWorks Electrical
  • Assist with migration and conversion of 2D Draftsight drawings into SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Work with Mechanical Design team to establish a bridge to existing library and designs and Vault system
