About the Role: We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician II to support capacity additions and line installations in our manufacturing facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth equipment debug and preparing lines for Operations Receivership.


Mechanical Technician II - Manufacturing

Location : Newton, North Carolina

Duration: 1 year Contract (with Further Possible extension)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in manufacturing engineering projects focused on capacity installations and equipment debug
  • Provide mechanical expertise to identify and solve technical problems
  • Implement mechanical solutions to improve equipment and process performance
  • Support project timelines and milestones
  • Manage spare part identification and storeroom entry
  • Develop and update engineering and operations documentation
  • Support training for operations workforce

What You'll Need:

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years' experience in new equipment installations in manufacturing environments
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD software
  • Vendor/supplier management experience
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform with limited supervision

Work Environment:

  • Based in Newton NC or Hickory NC
  • 40-hour work week with expected overtime
  • Fast-paced, dynamic project environment
