We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling data, and supporting departmental and company-wide reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Accurately record, reconcile, and compile financial data for departmental and company reporting. Apply accounting principles in cash applications, account adjustments/deletions, and reconciliations. Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Support the Assistant Controller in producing, reconciling, and delivering timely financial statements and reports. Research and analyze financial data to support accounting procedures and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements. Monitor company inventory values and support warehouse operations through scheduled cycle counts and audit reconciliations. Respond to internal and external financial inquiries and assist with audits as needed. Manage assigned tasks and tickets in the company CRM system, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Collaborate with the Assistant Controller, Controller, and other team members on month-end close processes and special projects. Position Requirements: 3+ years accounting/accounts payable High school diploma (or equivalent) Punctuality and regular attendance Physical Demands & Work Environment: Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily Move/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionally Stand or Sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily Work is performed in an office environment At TRL Systems, we've been keeping people and their property safe for over 42 years.
