This position will report to the NGDS Sector Budget Manager and perform financial analyst activities for our Defense Systems Sector. This high impact role will work closely with sector and division business management teams. The position sits onsite in McLean, VA./ppPosition responsibilities and duties include:/pulliOwnership of specific Sector Leadership Team (SLT) budgets, including budget development and cost monitoring, analyzing YTD rate variances, and developing a forecast position/liliEffectively communicating budget performance and risks/opportunities with stakeholders/liliProviding support on various business management needs for the SLT, including affordability and scenario analysis, charging guidance, intercompany work orders (IWOs), and ad hoc questions as needed/liliAssisting with the sector monthly and quarterly financial close deliverables; maintaining month-end closing documentation/liliParticipating in Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) development and packaging/liliEnsuring compliance with applicable NGDS Sector PrOP (Principles and Operating Practices) and incorporation of the relevant NGDS segment Disclosure Statement of Changes during planning cycles/li/ulpPrincipal Financial Analyst:/ppBasic Qualifications:/pulliBachelors degree in accounting or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience/liliAbility to work onsite in McLean, VA (3 days/week)/liliUnderstanding of government rates lifecycles and dependencies/liliProficiency in SAP/S4 Microsoft Office, as well as IBM Cognos Analytics/Reporting platforms/li/ululliPossess an analytical nature; makes recommendations based on acquired data and cumulative experience/liliAbility to convey information clearly, and adapt communication style for different audiences, including peers, senior management, and sector leadership/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliPrior experience in the aerospace and defense industry/liliSelf-motivated, yet functions well in a team environment/liliDetail and results oriented; ability to deliver accurate results under time sensitive conditions/liliExcellent organizational and prioritization skills/liliFamiliarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/li/ulpPrimary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
