Director of DevelopmentInternational Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips. Our home office is based in Columbus, OH, and this position can be a work-from-home position from elsewhere in the U.S.Expected work schedule for the Director of Development:Full-time, flexible scheduleOccasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projectsAttendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff RetreatsPay structure for an Director of Development:Pay range is $91,346 - $131,552, based on experience and other factorsSupport development is also availableDirector of Development Benefits:Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible)Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision)403(b) retirement savings plan to help you plan for the futureFlexible hours and work-from-home availabilityWork for a growing Christian organizationStaff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staffResponsibilities of a Director of Development:Assist the CEO to develop a culture of generosity based on Biblical valuesHelp people progress through the giving continuum: potential donor -> one-time donor -> recurring donor -> increasing donor -> major donorImplement multiple strategies as part of the fundraising plan, such as matching fund, sponsorship, planned giving, grants, Board development, and meeting face-to-face with individual donorsWork with the communications team and other volunteers to send out appeal letters, grant requests, and other funding opportunities that are compelling, complete, and up to dateThank donors and report results to them through handwritten notes, print, and electronic communications, as well as, in personManage and oversee the event staff and volunteers to plan and execute the annual IFI Banquet and other fundraising eventsCreate and execute digital venue strategyWork with Location Leaders to develop a strategy and plan to expand donors to IFI outside of ColumbusQualifications needed of a Director of Development, including Spiritual Characteristics:Godly character, meeting the leadership requirements defined in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1Personal commitment to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies, as well as ECFA Standards practiced by IFIAdministratively competent and well organized with great attention-to-detailPerson of prayer and spiritual maturityA self-starter, able to work independently, as well as be a team playerExhibits a positive, professional mannerEnjoys encouraging and helping others succeedHas discernment and strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work under stress and be flexibleProficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applicationsInternational Friendships, Inc.
