Accountant PositionAt Sierra Pacific Industries, we understand our greatest strength is the people who choose to build a career with us. Our Windows division in Red Bluff, California is seeking an experienced Accountant to be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for many aspects of Windows accounting.Position DetailsAbout the Position:Accounting for the division, including financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and other analysis as neededPerform monthly materials/finished inventory cost accountingPrepare monthly profitability forecasts for manufacturing operationsManage fixed asset accounting and reconciliation of fixed asset accountsMonthly and year-end close for the division, including preparation of all audit and tax schedulesManage accounts receivable for multiple divisionsHire, train, mentor, and manage office staffEnsure that appropriate internal control measures are followedProvide financial analysis as needed for special projectsManage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlinesRecognize when and how to be assertive when improvement opportunities ariseWork as a team member with company accounting staff and managementSignificant collaboration with our Wisconsin and Alabama manufacturing locations, with occasional travel to those sites, as necessaryQualificationsBachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA a plus. Three years progressive work experience in accounting. Significant experience with general ledger functions. Prior experience with audits (external, sales tax, etc.). Preference given for work experience in manufacturing environments, with a focus on inventory/cost accounting. Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems. Proven leadership and communication skills. Understand appropriate discretion with confidential Company information. Professional demeanor, with ability to work in a team environment.
