Purpose of the Job:

As the Multimedia and Video Specialist, you will serve as the creative force behind promotional videos, events, and creative video production for the church. Responsible for producing, editing, lighting, and sound on each project, you will oversee the content that goes on camera and must be familiar with the technical aspects of making videos for our internal ministries. You will collaborate with staff, volunteers, and other teams as needed.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • 5+ years of recent experience in videography, audio, and video editing and management.
  • Previous paid position in video production, preferably in a ministry, non-profit, or educational environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with good decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in design theory and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, and Video Templates).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An engaging, upbeat personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and problem-solve with limited supervision.
  • Understanding of the intricacies of a ministry-conscious environment.
  • Strong team player who is organized, enthusiastic, and enjoys collaborating.
  • Professional, credible, innovative, accountable, and committed to high standards of excellence.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce creative and engaging videos for church services, events, social media, website, and other delivery methods.
  • Execute all aspects of video campaigns within budget, including art direction, storyboarding, scheduling, filming, editing, and post-production tasks.
  • Effectively lead the video support team of volunteers.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff to convert new ideas into finished video projects that increase brand awareness, engagement, and church growth.
  • Produce and oversee the Lobby show, ensuring a high-quality service experience for our online campus.
  • Manage pre-production tasks such as scheduling shoots, creating shot lists and storyboards, and location scouting.
  • Lead volunteers or other staff during shoots, ensuring smooth operations and effective storytelling.
  • Capture baptisms and all major church events through video.
  • Manage post-production tasks including editing, color correction, and sound editing.
  • Organize projects, files, and equipment effectively.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects, tasks, and prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Communicate with managers and team members regularly.
  • Be available during non-business hours for emergency work as needed.

Note: Other duties may be assigned as required.
