Job Description: Summary: The Resource Technician II is a member of the operating room team that is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care. He/she functions in an organized manner and demonstrates professional qualities. The OR Resource Tech II must be flexible in duties and willing to work as an integral part of the healthcare team. Must have an awareness of the cost of supplies and equipment to manage usage in a cost-effective method. This position will demonstrate annual skills competency and understanding in areas of assisting personnel within Perioperative Services; maintenance of supplies, and maintenance of aseptic technique in the proper cleaning, sterilization, utilization, and care of rooms in the OR area. Must be committed to providing support and assistance for maintenance of patient care, for patients of all age groups. Requirements: Operating Room experience or comparable successful experience in a related field is required for Level II. The RT Level II may be attained after competency of skills and knowledge for Level I have been validated under direct supervision by the assigned preceptor, Education Coordinator, or direct supervisor. Committed to continuing education to upgrade skills in a constantly changing profession Licenses and Certifications: AHA BLS required Work Requirements: Shift: Night On Call: No Weekends: No Travel Required: No Travel Location: Holston Valley Medical Center
