Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery for our facility to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

  • Collects and analyzes data in order to identify expected outcomes for the observation andmedical/surgical patients
  • Developing and prioritizes the plan of care to attain measurable goals
  • Implements the interventions identified and evaluates the results, especially in relation to Critical Care patients (whichever applies).
  • Identifies educational needs, implements and evaluates learning and documents patient/family education
  • Demonstrates critical thought and judgment in the delivery of care related to Critical care patients
  • Delivers medications based upon continual assessment, safety and evaluation of patient response

What qualification you will need:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing is required or must be currently enrolled
  • Current RN license in Texas and/or current Compact License
  • 1 year current L&D experience required or you will go through a training program, if one is available
  • Current BCLS Certification Required
  • Current ACLS and NRP Certifications Required
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course within 90 days of hire date

Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 630+ bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community. Bay Area is our full-service acute care hospital and offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, bariatric, GYN and robotic surgery. The Womens Center at Bay Area, with its NICU Unit, is also the home of our graduate medical education program. The Heart Hospital offers complete diagnostics, treatment, surgery and rehabilitation for cardiac patients. Northwest Regional/Northwest Behavior Health Center provides emergency medical services, laboratory, imaging services and outpatient behavioral health services. Bayview Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient short-term treatment for psychiatric patients ages 12 years and older, as well as substance abuse treatment. Northshore Emergency Center is a full-service 24-7 emergency department in Portland that offers outpatient laboratory, imaging and occupational services. Radiation Oncology offers advanced technology for treating cancer with the latest and most specific radiation therapies available. Our programs focus on the needs of individual patients, while employing the latest techniques and research of 21st-century medicine.
