Job Summary: Our Chicago, Illinois location is seeking a proactive Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for receiving goods, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and stocking inventory. On the shipping side, you will pick orders, pack them securely, prepare shipping labels, and coordinate with carriers. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are vital for success in this position. This job requires consistent physical effort, including frequent Lifting of packages up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Adherence to strict Safety guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are critical to maintaining a safe working environment for everyone. You will be a key player in our supply chain, contributing to the timely and accurate flow of goods. Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies. Stock received items into appropriate warehouse locations. Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders accurately. Generate shipping labels and documentation. Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups. Maintain accurate inventory records. Adhere to all Safety procedures and wear designated PPE. Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and moving of inventory. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving areas. Qualifications: Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. Proficiency in using scanning devices and basic computer skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and standing for long hours. Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and the importance of PPE. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. High school diploma or equivalent.
