We are seeking a Vulnerability Management – Security Testing Consultant with a Fortune Life Sciences organization located in Raritan, NJ. As a Security Consultant, you will work alongside the information security and risk management team to assess and remediate vulnerabilities in workstations. In this role you will collaborate with IT Security teams and stakeholders to implement and validate remediation measures based on pen-testing and breach attack simulation findings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology
• Experience/knowledge in penetration testing, vulnerability risk assessment, and breach attack simulations
• Knowledge of red team, adversary emulation, and purple team concepts and tools.
• Experience in identifying and analyzing false positives in vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and breach simulation results for accurate assessments
• Strong knowledge of security tools and methodologies (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, InsightVM, Tanium, Microsoft Defender, SEIM, MITRE, etc.)
• Familiar with offensive TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), including post-exploitation and lateral movement
• Hands-on experience with cyber security assessment reporting
• Experience with at least one cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience in gathering and analyzing threat intelligence using platforms like ThreatConnect, Recorded Future, and MISP

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT Security teams and stakeholders to implement and validate remediation measures based on pen-testing and breach attack simulation findings. Ensure security patches and configurations align with compliance standards and policies.
• Utilize automated tools and manual techniques to validate remediation efforts, analyze findings, and prioritize actions based on risk assessment and potential impact.
• Provide expertise in investigating and resolving security incidents, focusing on identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing security assessment results, findings from pen tests and breach attack simulations, and the progress of remediation efforts. Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies. Stay informed about the latest security trends, emerging threats, and best practices in the industry.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Security Engineering, Enterprise IT, Development, and Operation teams, to integrate security considerations into all aspects of the organization.
• Design and conduct breach attack simulations to assess the robustness of security controls and the efficacy of incident response procedures. Provide detailed findings and actionable recommendations for security improvements.
