The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a strong ability to manage financial data with precision.Support the Senior Accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reportsPerform account reconciliations and ensure all financial data is accurate and completeProcess invoices and credit card receipts with attention to detailEnsure proper GL coding in accordance with GAAP standardsApply appropriate taxes and verify compliance with internal controlsConfirm all purchases have proper approvals via Purchase Orders or direct manager authorizationKey Skills Needed:Attention to DetailAbility to reconcile accounts to the pennyAccuracy in data entry and financial reportingOrganizational SkillsStrong time management and ability to prioritize tasksMaintains well-organized records and documentationAnalytical ThinkingAbility to identify discrepancies and resolve them efficientlyUnderstands financial trends and variancesTechnical ProficiencyExperience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)Knowledge of Accounting PrinciplesFamiliarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Understanding of GL coding and tax applicationCommunication SkillsClear and professional written and verbal communicationAbility to collaborate with team members and managers for approvals and clarificationsProblem-SolvingProactive in identifying issues and proposing solutionsComfortable working independently and taking initiativeAdaptabilityComfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environmentWillingness to learn and take on new responsibilities EDUCATIONAn associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience is required for this position. ExperiencePrior experience using QuickBooks and NetSuite is highly valued, though we welcome candidates eager to grow their skills in these platforms.Benefits:Competitive salary. $23-$30 hourly DOEComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with company 3% match.Paid time off, including holidays and vacation days.Employee wellness programs and resources.Company Culture:At Cornerstone Technologies, we throw parties for a living.
