A strong sense of urgency is required, as this is a fast-paced role. Organization is also key, as the position involves managing a high volume of requests.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesActs as liaison for payment-related concerns between carriers and Property Repair Solutions internal payment team.Assists with research, review and resolution of carrier issues/concerns. Communicates and coordinates resolution to all relevant parties.Assist payment team and other participants with following procedures and practices to avoid future question or delays in funding processWorks with contractors to provide accurate documentation required by carriers in an effort to improve and expedite funding process.Researches and addresses IT issues affecting Carrier funding process.Interacts frequently with various departments within the organization, as well as carrier adjusters, carrier supervisors and outside contractors.Maintains effective relationships with insurance carriers as well as across multiple lines of business and assists with reporting needs.Additional Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Supports the organization's quality program(s).Travels as required.QualificationsEducation & LicensingBachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university preferred.ExperienceFour (4) years of experience in claims processing or related business experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Insurance or finance industry experience preferred.Skills & KnowledgeWorking knowledge of billing and reconciliation systems, claim systems, financial services, and insurance productsExcellent oral and written communication, including presentation skillsPC literate, including Microsoft Office productsExcellent analytical and interpretive skills, including efficient use of MS ExcelExcellent problem solving and resolution skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to meet or exceed Performance CompetenciesWork EnvironmentWhen applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines.Physical: Computer keyboarding, travel as requiredAuditory/Visual: Hearing, vision and talkingThe statements contained in this document are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a colleague assigned to this description.
