Cashier PositionWe are looking for an efficient, courteous Cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The Cashier will scan the customer's selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers about products, promotions, or item location. You will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace.To succeed as a Cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.Responsibilities:Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous serviceProcesses sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers' purchasesResolves customer issues and answers questionsBags purchases if neededItemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items, and operating a cash registerEnters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletinsCollects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customersVerifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number and operating credit card authorization systemsProvides pricing information by answering questionsMaintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changesMaintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededEducation & Skills:Must be 18 years of age or olderFriendly and positive attitudeExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to adapt quickly to new policies and procedures in a fast-paced retail environmentBasic math skillsAttention to detailHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred0-1 years of retail experience preferredHours & Compensation:Able to work a flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, and holidays requiredPart time hours available$12/hour or commensurate with experienceHomeBuys, INC. is an equal opportunity employer.
