Responsibilities

  • Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and directing schematic designs for SCDOT and local government projects.
  • Using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices.
  • Interacting with task leaders, team members, clients, and other consultants.
  • Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others
  • Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak (or Open Roads) and SCDOT procedures
  • Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners.
  • Experience with MicroStation ORD
  • Experience with Large Scale SCDOT Projects
  • Advanced skills in specialized software programs
  • Technical Training Experience
