Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspecting aerospace parts and a strong ability to read and interpret GD&T blueprints. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards and comply with industry regulations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of Aerospace Parts: Perform precise inspections of aerospace parts, ensuring they meet all blueprint specifications and industry standards.
  • GD&T Blueprint Reading: Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles to accurately assess parts against blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for First Article Inspections (FAI), inspection reports, and material certifications, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Ballooning Blueprints: Use ballooning techniques to mark up blueprints with inspection points. Knowledge of DISCUS software or similar ballooning software is highly desirable.
  • Collaborative Review: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure inspection criteria are fully understood and applied correctly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancements and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in GD&T blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Experience in inspecting aerospace parts with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and documentation.
  • Ability to balloon blueprint drawing requirements effectively.
  • Experience with DISCUS ballooning software or similar tools is a plus.
  • ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
