We supporting a leading company in the food production industry who is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee and actively engage in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our production equipment.


The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, dedicated to maintaining operations efficiency and equipment reliability by utilizing in-house capabilities instead of relying on third-party contractors.




Shift: 6 AM – 5 PM; flexibility required for early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks for electrical, mechanical, and other related equipment in our food production facility.
  • Develop and execute maintenance strategies to ensure continuous production operations with minimal downtime.
  • Personally engage in troubleshooting and technical tasks, demonstrating a hands-on approach to resolving issues efficiently.
  • Supervise and train maintenance personnel, fostering a team-oriented environment with high performance and safety standards.
  • Prepare and control the maintenance budget to optimize costs while ensuring all necessary resources are available for high operational standards.
  • Enhance systems and procedures to reduce maintenance-related disruptions and improve response time and quality of in-house repairs.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to implement production projects and improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the food manufacturing industry.
  • Manage spare parts inventory ensuring critical parts are available for emergency repairs without excessive stockholding.
  • Document all maintenance activities and generate regular reports on maintenance progress and challenges.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management roles, specifically within fast-paced food production environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of food manufacturing machinery and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to personally perform installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing a maintenance team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including availability for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and emergencies.
  • Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement.
