Full Time Asst Grocery Mgr Store #207Pay Rate Starting at: Level $19.00/hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.SummaryThe mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Grocery Assistant manager is responsible for non-perishable grocery products, including full knowledge of product lines and location in store, as well as responsibility for ordering, receiving, stocking, rotating, cutting, and marking product. Manager is also responsible for escorting customer to location of desired product and/or service desk for further assistance while providing attentive and courteous customer service.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding grocery operations, safety, and sanitationAssist grocery manager with weekly product orders while following all proper operating procedure to ensure adequate supply levelsAdhere to company policy through proper receiving, handling, storing, and stocking of productHelp achieve financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense for the grocery departmentMaintain proper shelf conditions in regards to pricing, cleaning, straightening, rotating, and facing of productAdhere to shelf management as it applies to following suggested plan-o-gram layouts and new/discontinued productsTraining and development of grocery associatesDirect subordinates in implementing plan of action and goal attainmentFile all necessary paperwork required for the grocery departmentHelp keep the backroom clean and orderly by organizing grocery area, making bales, stacking pallets etc.Take direction from the grocery manager and act in his or her place when absentMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageEducation and ExperienceAbility to read, write, and perform basic math functionsPossess basic computer skillsPossess strong communication skillsPhysical RequirementsEquipment UsedOperation of the following:Baler/compactor (must be 18 years of age)Case cutter (must be 16 years of age)Pallet jacks (must be 18 years of age)Marking gunComputerWalkie Stacker (must be 18 years of age)Ladder (must be 18 yrs of age)Our Company does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, affection or sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, liability for military service, status as a veteran, gender identity or expression, genetic information, pregnancy, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.Should your hours and availability better fit the needs of another store or desired shift, we may consider your application for another location or shift.
