A Maintenance Technician at our CCM Franklin Park, IL location repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps. They repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed. With working in a manufacturing production environment, our Maintenance Technicians perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments. They are able to set up and operate power tools, drill motor, circular saw, welders, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools and other metalworking equipment. Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment, actively participating and supporting plant safety, health and environmental programs, and other duties assigned are also the responsibilities our Maintenance Technicians.


Shifts available & pay rate:


  • $3000.00 Sign-On Bonus***



Start training on dayshift- 7:00am to 3:00pm (training only)



Permanent Shift: 3rd Shfit - 11:00pm. - 7:00 A.M.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform needed maintenance on equipment and direct support of production operating needs. Evaluate equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur, or improvements are needed.
  • Support a high-performing responsive team by exhibiting ownership, accountability, a culture of excellence, alignment, a passion for work and effective interpersonal relations.
  • Participate on various problem-solving task groups. Support A3 problem solving by participating in team problem-solving analysis and resolutions. Also, identify opportunities for improvement (problem areas) and participate in their resolution.
  • Support CMMS through work order documentation, spare parts and inventory system support and utilization.
  • Lead, direct and train other plant mechanics where appropriate and assigned.
  • Participate in planning activities and manage various plant utilities including chiller, air compressor, cooling tower, security system & fire protection system.
  • Complete daily process work order data, initiate purchase requisitions, and utilize equipment and process documentation. Plan & execute minor projects on an as needed basis.


Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned


Requirements


Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or educational equivalent (GED), technical school preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Three to Five years minimum maintenance experience; maintenance technician with knowledge of with hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment including 480v, 3phase electric to 24vdc, communication wiring, working knowledge of PLCS's, ladder logic and relay logic, VFD motors/controls, pumps, motion controls, Servo drives, HMI program logic, welding and pipefitting. General mechanical skills and schematic/blueprint reading necessary.
  • SAP Experience
  • Basic computer skills, especially MS Excel and Word.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Robotics knowledge and applications preferred


Work Environment/Time Worked:


  • 40+ hours a week
  • Willing to work flexible work schedules
  • Monday - Friday; Additional weekend hours will be required
  • Factory floor setting/office setting
