We are a small outpatient psychiatric clinic established in May 2024. Already, we’ve got 500+ clients with more prospective new clients applying each week than I’m prepared to accomodate at this time. To meet the needs of our growing business, we’d like to bring in a part-time PMHNP. There will be room to transition to full-time in the future, if desired, as your case load grows. We have a reliable referral network for therapy support and the ability to provide MD collaboration, if needed.


We offer a productivity based compensation structure, but expect to be in the 65-70% range as a W2 employee. Given the opportuntiy to provide and bill for Spravato with MA support, your earnings potential will exceed $250k/yr should you ultimately transtion to full-time. Should you ultimatley tranition to full-time, we’ll offer 401k with 3.5% employer match.




Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Southeast Virginia Psychiatry located in Norfolk, VA, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing direct psychiatric care, including evaluations, assessments, and medication management. You will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient treatment plans and provide education and support to patients and their families.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing, with a focus on psychiatric/mental health
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia
  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Experience in psychiatric/mental health settings, preferably in an outpatient or community-based setting
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric and mental health disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
