Benefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.US Foods is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.Main Ingredients of the JobCommunicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignmentsKeep assigned equipment coupledMove trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse SupervisorLoad, unload, or merge loads between environmentsStage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle driversSet up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty palletsPlace backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouseMake sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveriesWork with mechanics nightlyMust attend all required company meetingsAll other duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift requiredComfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditionsWhat You Bring to the TableRegister to the FMCSA ClearinghouseMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualificationsMinimum of six months commercial driving experience preferredAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and recordsUS Foods helps our customers make it, with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work.
