Logistics Manager

DIVISION:

U.S. LubricantsPOSITION SUMMARYThe function of the role is to drive profit. This will be achieved primarily by reducing costs which it will do by optimizing the utilization of our organization‘s assets (tanks, trucks, railcars, floorspace) and the movement of our raw and finished goods into and out of those assets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use available data to support all decisions and demand better, faster, and/or more detailed data to improve our logistics capabilities
• Set in place a distribution model which outlines how our facilities can best support one another to meet our collective and respective customers‘ needs most efficiently
• Optimize all our physical assets so they are in the best geographic location, doing the right activities, at the right time, to drive the highest use for the organization
• Coordinate the inbound and outbound movement of goods to realize maximum savings per mile of product movement
• Selecting transportation suppliers and negotiating favorable terms on price, delivery, and quality.
• Manage a team of dispatchers responsible for ensuring our last-mile logistics are as efficient as possible

• Find A Better Way by championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to identify opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization
• Continuously learn and develop self professionally

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor‘s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Leadership skills to set goals and motivate employees to meet them.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and draw insights and recommendations from it.
• Effective communication skills to communicate to internally up and down the organization as well as externally in a way that is both professional and persuasive.

Preferred:

• 5+ years of experience in the logistics or transportation field within a business setting.
• Professional or personal experience with the Lubricant industry.
