Payroll Coordinator

Position: Payroll Coordinator

Location: Lone Tree, CO

We are proud to partner with a consulting firm in Lone Tree, CO who is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join their team. The Payroll Coordinator will assist the Payroll Manager in processing semi-monthly payroll for multiple companies. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, time management, and a fundamental understanding of multi-state payroll laws.

This is an ongoing contract role paying $25.00-30.00 per hour depending on experience and it is a full in office role in Lone Tree, CO.

Responsibilities

Collect and verify timesheets.

Maintain employee information and payroll data within the timekeeping and payroll systems.

Process new employees, promotions, and terminations.

Act as first point of contact for employee questions relating to payroll.

Maintain and update payroll records.

Handle multi-state tax account setup and maintenance.

Prepare and submit Payroll reports.

Complete and file state specific worker’s compensation, occupational and Quarterly reports

Process certified payroll reports and rate requests.

Complete verifications of employment

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 years of prior payroll or human resources experience preferred
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees, building relationships and maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and respect for employee records.
