Job Summary:

Working as a one-person department, the position will focus upon growing the contract manufacturing base and development of high-quality specialty food items for numerous national brands. 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence. 
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs ensuring long-term partnerships and sustained business growth.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the Executive team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Responsible for meeting the annual sales quota, building customer relationships, securing new business, and leading the broker teams.
  • Cultivate solutions. Improve processes, products, and services. 
  • Effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance and projecting future performance. 
  • Work cross functionally with executives and managers from other departments such as planning/procurement, customer service, operations, and R&D.

 

Education and Experience:

  • BS in related discipline and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous sales experience and/or education.
  • 5 years previous experience as a sales manager in the food industry, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.


Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully working with companies to have their brands co-manufactured.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. 
  • Strong business sense and industry experience. 
  • Ability to speak with customer contacts about complex issues.
  • Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
