Job Description: Pay Range: $22.24hr - $24hr Perform venipunctures and specimen collection, ensure accurate labeling and processing of samples, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and provide courteous patient interactions. Requirement/Must Have: Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment (as required in some states). Minimum of 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. High school diploma or GED. 2-4 years of experience. Responsibilities: Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and perform decontamination. Update patient information as required. Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously. Perform venipunctures using straight needles and butterfly needles. Understand and verify physicians' orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. Check all test requisitions or computer labels to ensure accuracy. Package specimens for transport. Store specimen samples at required temperatures and follow protocols to maintain specimen integrity. Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. ttend required department trainings. nswer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results as needed. Skills: Customer service. Flexibility. Phlebotomy skills. Comfort working independently and performing difficult sticks.
