Education

  • Requires a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Physics or Optics.
  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge and experience in controls of optics, laser-induced plasma, optical metrology a plus.


Experience

  • Experience with common control architecture (open/closed loops).
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink
  • Python is a plus
  • Experience with common electrical test equipment (multimeter, signal generator, oscilloscope, analog digital converters and digital analog converters).


Day to day:


This will be supporting the CO2 dry laser team in San Diego, CA hybrid position

*This is not a design role This is a heavy integration role.

  • Represent ASML Netherlands development & engineering projects in San Diego, CA.
  • Support project meetings to ensure close alignment to project development activities and escalations, requiring early morning calls and meetings to gain alignment and share knowledge.
  • Provide a broad optical and controls engineering background to create test plans, secures system test time, assemble test hardware and perform validation testing of Beam Transport System & Final Focusing Unit module & control software.
  • Review requirements, specifications, software release documents, issue resolution plans, test plans and test reports with internal and external customers.
  • Provides optical and controls engineering knowledge for issue resolution of optical and control systems.
  • Interacts closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers and QA engineers to work on design improvements.
  • Assists with driving full documentation including sequences, procedures, bill of materials (BOM) and drawings.
  • Provide knowledge transfer training to Upgrades, Integration, Customer Service and Manufacturing personnel.
  • Audit engineering changes (EC) and associated documentation for planned upgrades in San Diego.
  • Recommend improvements to projects in regard to safety, reliability, availability, manufacturability & serviceability.






Compensation:

$52.00-$71.00/hour on W2


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
