Executes engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, and products for generator control switchgear human machine interface (HMI) applications.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, modify, develop, write, convert and implement software-programming for generator control switchgear human machine interface applications.

Configure, program and test HMI hardware.

Work with Power System Engineers to validate/correct HMI programming.

Support HMI issues in the field and provide remote HMI installation support.

Pursue, prepare for and assume new technical assignments and challenges.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Associate’s degree with 4+ years’ experience.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical or related field with 1-3 years’ experience.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

Technical proficiency in some software applications.

Relevant HMI software experience.

Factory Talk experience.

RSView experience.

Vijeo experience.

Crimson experience.

Kepware experience.

EcoStruxure Machine Scada Expert.

VBA Scripting experience.

Javascript experience.

HTML experience.

C++ experience.

FBD (Function Block Programming) experience.

SQL experience.

Python experience.


SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Ability to use a structured approach in analyzing and resolving technical problems.
