This position requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach, coupled with advanced clinical skills to effectively diagnose, treat, and manage mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess clients' mental health status, including physical and psychological symptoms.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and evidence-based guidelines.

Medication Management:

  • Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications to treat clients' mental health conditions, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Educate clients and their families about medication management, potential side effects, and medication interactions.

Therapeutic Interventions:

  • Provide psychoeducation, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to support clients' mental health recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including therapists, social workers, and counselors, to coordinate comprehensive care.

Crisis Intervention and Management:

  • Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide immediate crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
  • Coordinate with emergency services, hospitalization, and other healthcare providers as needed.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Document all clinical encounters, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication prescriptions in a timely and thorough manner.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and primary care providers, to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to nursing staff, medical assistants, and support staff regarding psychiatric and behavioral health care practices.
