NATURE OF POSITION:TheLicensed Practical Nurse is an integral member off the interdisciplinary health team and assists in the care of patients including administration of treatments and medications, patient education, triage, and clinic flow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; required
  • Completion ofLPN training program andlicensed as an LPN in the state of Oklahoma; required
  • Strong clinical skills and competency in ambulatory care setting; preferred
  • Strong interest in working with an interdisciplinary health team and culturally diverse patient population
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge in computersystems;such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and/or lift for extended periods of time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine intake procedures including, but not limited to, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and blood pressure readings
  • Assist medical providers with examination and treatment of patients
  • Provide assistancewith administrative procedures required, including patient referral, charting and documentation of activities and phone calls
  • Follows protocols and performs accurate and thorough work ups and check-ins of all patients
  • Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to quality patient care
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively organize and prioritize work and utilize available resources toassist with efficient patient flow in the clinic
