We’re looking for Staff Digital Design Engineers In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the circuitry within our chips, designed for a broad customer base including major telecom and automotive industries. Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop the chip’s internal structure (microarchitecture).
  • Create detailed specifications for the chip's design.
  • Design and implement the chip's circuitry using energy-efficient RTL coding.
  • Partner with the verification team to ensure the chip functions as intended.
  • Collaborate with the physical design team to optimize chip layout.
  • Manage project timelines and allocate tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of future design processes across different teams.
  • Support the initial testing and setup of the chip after manufacturing.
  • Work closely with software engineers to align the chip with customer needs.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of applicable experience is preferred.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog RTL coding for complex chip design.
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern SoC architectures and interfaces (AXI, DDR, Ethernet, PCIe).
  • Deep expertise in the microarchitecture of at least one of the following areas: neural processing units (NPUs), embedded processors, digital signal processors (DSPs), graphics, or general-purpose microprocessors.
  • Proven track record in RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, formal verification, and simulation.
  • Hands-on experience in high-speed design implementation and timing closure.
  • Familiarity with chip development tools and methodologies.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing high-performance, embedded processor-based SoCs.
  • Knowledge of radio technologies, DSPs, or codecs.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) and UNIX environments.
