We are looking for a product manager to join our team to improve and integrate new product and revenue opportunities with our merchant partners, and drive cross-functional execution within shopping.Role DescriptionIn this role, you will be a key driver of business growth - owning all aspects of the team, technology, and tooling that onboards and activates merchant relationships across shopping's suite of product experiences:Work directly with engineering in an individual contributor and cross-functional leadership capacity to design and build optimized consumer incentive and reward experiencesManage the day-to-day operations and engineering execution of directly owned and supporting teams to iteratively launch and test new experiencesOperate with a high degree of autonomy, exhibiting data and market backed judgment from ideation through to launchOwn the business case, prioritization, and monitoring for the product experiences under your purview, building a suite of operational reports and models using sql, excel, and financial modeling to drive optimal investment decisionsWho We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a high-leverage, data-driven product leader who combines startup grit with the technical depth and product intuition to build products that deliver world-class results.Competitive and ambitious mindset: you are a self-driven performer who aims to be among the best in the world at what you do. If there is an important job to be done you're the first to roll up your sleeves and help drive it to completion no matter what the task is.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or military experience. At least 7 years of experience in digital product management. At least 5 years of experience in business analysis. At least 5 years experience working with sql. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, information systems or a related quantitative field)a master's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, information systems or a related quantitative field) or an mba with a quantitative concentrationPreferred QualificationsAt least 8+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products. At least 8+ years of experience in a high growth/startup technology environment, strategy consulting, or investment banking. At least 8+ years of experience working directly with software engineering departments to build tooling and processes to support and scale new product experiences.At this time, capital one will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Capital one is open to hiring a remote employee for this opportunity. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount capital one is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. New york, ny: $246,500 - $281,300 for director, product management remote (regardless of location): $205,400 - $234,400 for director, product management mclean, va: $226,000 - $257,900 for director, product management candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (lti). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
