Job Descriptio

nThe Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design, review, and stamping, sealing of the drawings before submission to the clients

.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans and work schedules
  • .Lead construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction manager
  • sProvide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and serve as a mentor to fewer experienced engineers in the divisio
  • nSupport the Contract management, and Planning divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definitio
  • nDevelops cost estimates and time schedules, Reviews, and analyzes preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequac
  • yPerform detailed calculations to establish standards and specification
  • sPrepares necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepares final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractor
  • sInspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standard
  • sUse computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies load analysis) to perform engineering tasks as assigned
  • .Keep current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineerin
  • gAssisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding. Ensuring a safe, positive work environment

.Qualifications to be successful in the role

  • :Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineerin
  • gPrevious experience working on US Government and Military domestic and international projects preferre
  • dA licensed Professional Engineer is require
  • dExperience in power and UPS systems, power generation, 10 years in construction management/desig
  • nExceptional verbal and written communication skills; Analytical Thinking; Project Management; Planning and Organizational Skills; Attention to Details; Excellent Multi-tasking skills and motivational skill
  • sStrong understanding of construction techniques and practice; Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises; Electrical Layout Design: Electrical Inspection; Cost estimat
  • eProficient in Microsoft Office Suites; Engineering software to create project plans and circuit diagrams; Power, Control Switchgear, Lighting, Batteries, Fire Alarm; CAD/Revi
  • tFamiliarity with military programming rules and documentation is desirabl
  • eMust be willing to travel for occasional international assignment
  • sMust lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits
