This is a remote position.

The Architect is responsible for designing and planning the construction of buildings and structures ensuring that they are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs developing detailed design plans and overseeing the construction process to ensure that the projects meet design specifications budgets and timelines. The Architect must balance creativity with technical expertise ensuring compliance with building codes regulations and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to discuss project objectives requirements and budgets ensuring a thorough understanding of their vision.
  • Develop and present design concepts architectural plans and detailed drawings using computeraided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
  • Create blueprints technical drawings and 3D models that clearly convey design intentions and specifications to clients and construction teams.
  • Ensure that architectural designs are in compliance with local state and federal building codes zoning laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers contractors and other professionals to ensure that structural electrical and plumbing systems align with the architectural design.
  • Manage the project lifecycle from concept development through construction ensuring projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction adheres to design specifications safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve shop drawings material specifications and construction schedules to ensure they align with the overall design plan.
  • Research and select materials finishes and construction techniques that meet sustainability durability and aesthetic standards.
  • Modify and update designs as necessary throughout the construction process addressing any issues that arise and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Stay updated with industry trends including new architectural technologies sustainable practices and innovative materials.
  • Prepare and submit necessary permits ensuring that all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices in architecture and design.
  • Provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders regarding design feasibility costs and construction methodologies.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is complete accurate and stored in accordance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Perform other architectural and administrative duties as needed to support the successful completion of projects.
