As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our core values of integrity and teamwork. This armed position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment where people come first.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $40.50 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeTue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter disturbances and/or potential threats.Communicate professionally with staff, residents, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.Document incidents and activities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.Support shelter operations by assisting in security-related matters as directed by site leadership.Minimum Requirements:Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.Have a concealed carry weapons permit.Have an armed guard card or armed guard license.Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.Have supervisory experience.Possess a corrections officer license.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.ClosingAllied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
