Mentorship and professional development training are a focus throughout your entire career.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigationsMaintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agenciesCollaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threatsAssist leadership with cash handling and transfersObserve customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraudTaking appropriate action to prevent theft, apprehending individuals engaged in theft activity when prevention is not effectiveConducting surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects in compliance with company ethical standards and apprehension guidelinesMonitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviewsMaintaining all apprehension and investigation records according to company standardsDeveloping and maintaining knowledge and use of CCTV surveillance equipmentAssisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisorMaintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controlsSafetyHelp mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customersWelcome all customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff within the storesIssue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and assist in obtaining wheelchairs and shopping cartsExamine and properly tag property being brought into the stores including personal property, equipment for service, and firearmsWatch facilities and parking areas on foot. Schedule includes varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours per week is 40 hours.Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
