RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and ensure that Single Facer and Double-backer are in proper adjustment to run quality corrugated paperboard.
Make any adjustments needed to control warp, delamination, and fractured flute tips.
Place correct paper rolls on stands after inspecting for quality defects to ensure roll width matches roll tag and run sheet.
Communicate with dry end operators about board quality and roll clamp driver for proper grades, sizes and lineal footage needed to run orders to minimize butt roll dimensions to 30‘ minimum.
Report all maintenance defects to supervisor and input information into BPMS system.
Monitor all gauges to ensure proper steam pressure, air pressure and hydraulics.
Clean equipment and maintain good housekeeping by performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
Work as part of a team through learning and contribution in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
Maintain workstation and machine equipment per 5S Standards.
May be required to stack parts up to 50 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
Responsible for adhering to the ISO procedures and taking direction from the operator.
Works with various production machines and basic tools such as hammer and knife.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED.
Strong safety background. Knowledgeable in LOTO and ISO 9001 FSSC.
Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures.
Ability to work any available shift (24/7 operation)
Must be able to communicate, read and understand English
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ year experience as a Double Backer in a Corrugated Packaging Industry.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
Thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.
Have the ability to quickly develop the skills and abilities required to operate the machine applied for.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned facility.
