Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI


We are actively looking to hire two additional Mechanical Engineers to oversee our Ocenco Inc. products and join our Engineering department. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM, on-site at our headquarters located in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This position may require some travel both domestic and international.


Position Overview:

A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for product design and development, implementing prototype fabrication and testing. The position involves generating Standard Test and Evaluation reports of Ocenco products. The Mechanical Engineer assists in the creation and distribution of Engineering Change Notices.


Accountability and Duties:

  • New product design, including development of prototypes, cost estimates, product testing, field testing and documentation.
  • Engineering support for existing product line.
  • Prepare BOMs and ECN Documentation.
  • Conduct and maintain design reviews.
  • Generate component and assembly drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, approval agencies, and test laboratories.
  • Communicate with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and other internal teams.
  • Maintain knowledgeability regarding applicable national and international test and certification standards.
  • Generation of Standard Test and Evaluation reports (STE) for Ocenco lighting products.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of Engineering Change Notices.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in LabView (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven work experience in mechanical design preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
